Emanuele Reolon will join Paolo De Marchi and together they will continue in what was the pioneering mission of the winery, fully expressing the company's potential and ferrying into the future the great heritage built over the decades by Isole and Olena thanks to the quality and complexity of its wines.
“Emanuele is a capable and very scrupulous professional, which is why it is a great pleasure to be able to convey to him the passion and dedication with which I transformed a dream into a completed project like Isole e Olena is today,” says Paolo De Marchi.
“It is with great emotion and enthusiasm that I take up this challenge. Isole e Olena is a heritage of the Chianti Classico and being able to work here, alongside Paolo De Marchi, is a great opportunity for me", the words of Emanuele Reolon.
Graduated in viticulture and oenology from the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Udine, 42 year old Emanuele Reolon has worked in the heart of Chianti in recent years, holding the role of General Manager at Casale dello Sparviero. Previously, he had gained extensive experience as a technical director of wineries in Italy and Romania.
Emanuele Reolon will respond to Giampiero Bertolini, CEO of Isole e Olena Information on Isole e Olena Isole e Olena is a historic Chianti Classico estate, located in the western part of the denomination, in San Donato in Poggio, which has 56 hectares of vineyards among 300 and 500 meters above sea level. The company was founded in 1956, when Francesco De Marchi, a Piedmontese lawyer, purchased the Tuscan village, made up of several farms managed by sharecroppers. It was in the second half of the Seventies, under the guidance of the "visionary" Paolo De Marchi, son of Francesco, that the production of very high quality wines began, for which it is still renowned today. The first harvest of Isole e Olena carried out by Paolo De Marchi dates back to 1978.
The company is certainly part of that group of companies that has led to the recognition of Chianti Classico as a production area of high quality wines since the 1980s, thanks to an authentic, refined and elegant style, capable of best expressing the characteristics of Sangiovese , both in the production of wine and denomination, and in that of Cepparello, a milestone among the Super Tuscans in the area.
