«The negative impact of alcohol» when driving a car «is comparable to too much food». Therefore, you have to
«eat well but eat less, much less»: these are the words of the Michelin–starred Chef Oldani.
Oldani, Ambassador of Expo 2015, has highlighted the close connection between nutrition and driving safety. Portions of 20 grams of good food, or, eating fruits and vegetables: this is the advice by the Michelin–starred chef Davide Oldani.
According to Oldani, then, «portions before driving or while traveling should be small, 20 grams are enough to satisfy the pleasure of eating». Expo 2015, added the chef, «will be also an important opportunity for us to think about the issue of a better nutrition. Today we all eat four times more than we should, and reactions are more difficult when we are saturated with food».
Oldani also suggested practical advice to improve: «In motorway restaurants and distributors, and thus also in vending machines, there should be a lot more vegetables and fruit to eat. They are the ideal alternative to junk food and are perfect for drivers».
