Today more than ever we realize how vital balance with nature is for man. In fact, it is able to survive without the human being, but vice versa is not possible. Our task is therefore to protect, protect and preserve the environment that hosts us every day. Distillerie Berta starts from this reflection and, with an ambitious project looking to the future, dedicates Grappa Aged Elisi and Grappa Unica for the Environment , to make a concrete contribution to rebalancing the planet through reforestation.
By purchasing one of these two products, you contribute to the creation of the Berta Forest which, thanks to Treedom, is taking shape in Kenya : each order will in fact plant a new tree which will be given to the customer and will bear his name. Through a code, the owner can view it online and follow its growth, step by step.
"The main beneficiary of the lockdown was nature. - affirms the Berta family - While man has experienced a complicated moment of fear and uncertainty, nature has begun to breathe again, finally freer and cleaner. Our will is that to start again (finally!) without forgetting that only by protecting nature will we be able to prevent future catastrophic moments that could somehow condition our existence. For this reason we have undertaken the ambitious project of reforesting the Earth together with Treedom. "
Treedom is the only web platform in the world that allows you to plant a tree remotely and follow it online. Since its founding in Florence in 2010, more than 1,000,000 trees have been planted in Africa, Latin America, Asia and Italy. All trees are planted directly by local farmers and contribute to produce environmental, social and economic benefits.
This ambitious project is not the first for the Berta family which, with "Elisi per il Sociale" has dedicated over the years part of the revenues from the sale of the grappa of the same name to the collection of economic resources for the support of the Fraternity and Friendship cooperative , a Milanese company committed in supporting families of mentally disabled people. The guests of the community designed splendid paintings which then "dressed" Elisi grappa, thanks to a special label, and created the sculptures installed in the distillery park.
