On 2 June 2012, 77-year-old Francesco Adami passed away, he was one of the first producers of Prosecco and Cartizze and a historical supplier of Carpenè Malvolti.
His death was truly tragic: he was overwhelmed by the tractor he drove in his vineyard in Strada Guizzette in the locality of Follo persso Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene.
Adami woke up early on the morning of June 2 to go to work on his steeply sloping land. And then the Tragedy at 9:30.
The alarm was raised by a neighbor: the firefighters arrived in a few minutes but it was useless, the injuries to the head and chest were fatal.
The causes are still to be ascertained: an illness or a risky maneuver, in any case, the tractor wheeled and then overturned, overwhelming and crushing the pensioner who died instantly.
