Crowdfunding and wine: a film in Poggio al Casone

  • 09/05/2013

Crowdfunding for a movie. The first company to use this participatory approach to resourcing
is Poggio al Casone in Crespina (Pisa), owned by the Castellani family.

For three months the Tuscan company was the location and logistics base for the docu-fiction "The beautiful life", about the Italian way of life seen through the eyes of an American surfer who arrives in Tuscany on the pursuit of his origins. The director is also an American and his name is Jason Baffa.

Now the same company is moving for post production fund-raising on Kickstarter, website famous for crowdfunding.
"A beautiful experience", Piergiorgio Castellani says, "which allows us to contribute personally to a
discovery project of our country, enhancing the hills and shores of our region, yet unknown to the many international lovers of the Tuscan wines".
