Copagri states that the Italian sparkling wine is becoming more and more popular all over the world.
Boom in sparkling wine exports: a jump of 11% in volume.
It is sales boom for Italian sparkling wines abroad, with an increase of 11% in volume and 17% in value.
In 9 years, Copagri says, the value of the exports of sparkling wines has grown from 231 million to 624 million euro for an increase of 170% in value and 113% by volume. Countries where the Italian sparkling wine is appreciated the most are: France (+33%), United Kingdom (+44%), Spain (+66%), Russia (+50%).
“The next Christmas season could be the confirmation of its dominant approach in the world”.
