" So far we have witnessed a series of buffer measures - declares Enrico Allasia, president of Confagricoltura Piemonte - but now it is necessary to intervene with a strategic plan to get out of the emergency. The first deadline we face is that of July 16, given by which agricultural entrepreneurs and direct growers will have to pay the first installment of the compulsory contributions for INPS and INAIL . Given that a first check of the data available in the social security drawer of the self-employed in agriculture, many counts are incorrect, it is clear that there will be many companies that they will not be able to meet the deadline, as they are still awaiting the promised and not yet disbursed aid from the government. For this reason, we expect the government to cancel the deadline, compensating the payment of the amount due with the announced and not yet disbursed contributions. a total contribution relief is required for this year: this applies to all product sectors active and in particular for those who have not yet received any type of support, for example fruit and vegetables ".
Confagricoltura Piemonte highlights that the economic crisis, which has hit companies and workers hard, is pushing consumers to favor low-priced food products, favoring the increase in imports: this is happening in the meat, dairy and also Markets. " If a strategic plan is not launched urgently in the autumn, the consequences will be very heavy - says Ercole Zuccaro director of Confagricoltura Piemonte - because with the end of the layoffs and the businesses already tried by the crisis, the situations of difficulty will increase dramatically, with the risk of social tensions difficult to manage ".
The president of Confagricoltura Piemonte Enrico Allasia specifies that "this is not only a request for the agricultural world, but for the country: we must aim to relaunch public investments and tangible and intangible infrastructures, such as digital ones, to start a simplification program to incentivize investments; guarantee employment incentives, with a relief on contributions, also continuing on the objectives of reducing the tax wedge, relaunching the country system at a cultural and food and wine level - concludes Allasia - to attract again national and foreign tourists, leveraging on the promotion of made in Italy ".
