In Piedmont there are 1,316 agritourism companies (5.6% of the national quota), of which 914 with accommodation. There are 793 companies with catering (60% of the total); those offering a tasting service (such as wine tourism , for example) are 687 (52% of the total). There are 1,013 (77% of the total) that carry out other activities related to the farm : educational farm, horse-riding, recreational and educational activities, agri-asylum . " These activities in the spring, particularly during the Easter period and on the occasion of the long weekend of May 1st, have suffered significant damage - explains the regional president of Confagricoltura Enrico Allasia - and now an extremely complicated period is expected again for them ".

In view of the new restrictions adopted by the Confagricoltura Piemonte government, it asked the Region to allow farm holidays to deliver meals at home . " The competent Directorate of the Region - declares Enrico Allasia - has assured us that a measure will be adopted to meet our request" .

As for aid to farm holidays, the Refreshments Decree published in the Official Gazette of last October 28 provides for a grant for those who are holders of an active VAT number as of October 25, 2020 and who carry out one of those contained as their main activity. in the list attached to the Decree itself. Confagricoltura Piemonte reminds us that, for example, agritourism activities (accommodation or catering) and others related to entertainment, sport and tourism are interested. The contribution is due provided that the revenues of April 2020 are less than 2/3 of the revenues of April 2019 (this requirement is not necessary for those who started the business after January 1, 2019).

As regards the procedure, there are two methods: those who have already benefited from the contribution provided for by the previous Relaunch Decree will not have to do anything, as the aid will be credited by the Revenue Agency directly to the current account already communicated; the other subjects, on the other hand, must submit a specific request electronically, within the term that will be established with a forthcoming provision. The amount of the contribution is calculated by applying a specific coefficient linked to the ATECO activity code (for agritourisms with accommodation it is 150% - for those with catering it is 200%) to the amount due according to the rules of the Relaunch Decree.

The Relaunch Decree also cancels the second IMU 2020 installment , expiring on December 16, with reference to the properties and related appurtenances in which agritourism and landlords, bed and breakfasts, holiday homes are carried out. To benefit from the benefit, the owners of the properties must also be directly managers of the activities that are carried out there.

For private employers of farm holidays with accommodation and catering, the terms relating to the payment of social security and welfare contributions and compulsory insurance premiums due for the month of November 2020 are suspended. These payments will be made, without application of penalties and interest, in a lump sum by March 16, 2021 or through installments up to a maximum of four monthly installments of the same amount, with the payment of the first installment by March 16, 2021.
