China changes taste: imports of white wine are growing

According to Wine Intelligence analysts, the growth in the importation of white wines to the detriment of reds is linked to the growth in the number of wine lovers : until the wine phenomenon involved only the highest strata of the population, the great reds of Bordeaux , Burgundy , Tuscany and Piedmont had the upper hand.

Today, on the other hand, young people , the middle class and women are also approaching wine and so the share of imported white wine is growing ever more significantly.

It is estimated that by 2015 the consumption of white wine will grow by 69% .
