On the occasion of the regional day for the Colli Veneti, the Tezze di Piave company implemented the Coste forest. Focus with students on planting, beekeeping and climate change.

Saturday 25 March , in Coste di Maser (Treviso), the forest project responsible for the Cecchetto winery returned, more than 3 hectares certified FSC® to protect the biodiversity kept in the hills of Asolo. A day dedicated to nature and the importance of trees organized by the reality of Tezze di Piave (Treviso) with the support of the Municipality of Maser . Fruit trees , forest and melliferous species are the specimens that the children of the Paolo Veronese middle school in Maser planted to implement the Coste forest. Mulberry, hazelnut, walnut, cherry, fig, juniper and oak, elm, maple, flowering ash, hornbeam and buckthorn: all plants that adapt perfectly to the surrounding ecosystem, sustainably enriching the beauty of the landscape. “A forest over three centuries old that grows together with its community – explained Sara Cecchetto , the company's sustainability manager – a tangible symbol of how necessary it is to take care of the earth and its riches. With this initiative we aim to create an environment in which man, flora and fauna dialogue with each other to encourage the harmonious development of local biodiversity". In a context surrounded by olive trees and vineyards with forest roads to explore, the forest is part of the Unesco MAB area of the Asolo hills and is part of the Natura 2000 network, proposing itself as a destination for excursions and educational activities for tourists, families, enthusiasts nature and the entire local community. Confirming the importance of the initiative and the synergy created with the municipality of Maser, the mayor Claudia Benedos was present. “I want to thank – he declared – the Cecchetto company and the Pro Loco for this day of environmental education, not only theoretical. The boys and all the participants had the opportunity to learn about plants and bees, understand their importance and ecological role, a field experience they will never forget". Representing the Pro Loco of Maser , project partner, the president Claudio Crotti The forest of Coste was born from the sustainability plan conceived and developed together with Etifor , a spin-off of the University of Padua, which offers consultancy to institutions and companies to improve the economic, environmental and social benefits of policies, projects and investments through science, innovation and good governance.And just Lucio Brotto , founding partner of the start-up, expert in sustainable investments and ecosystem services, held an in-depth lesson to tell the kids what climate change consists of and what are the actions to be implemented to curb it Among the protagonists of the appointment Giuseppe Morosin of the educational farm L'Alveare del Grappa which involved the r boys in a beekeeping lesson with hives wintering activities, kept inside the wood. In addition, forestry expert Stiven Rizzotto will support the planting activity. The event concluded with refreshments, rich in local produce, organized by the Noble Researchers of Taste of Maser.
