Cantine di Verona , the cooperative group born in 2021 from the merger of Cantina Valpantena, Cantina di Custoza and Cantina Colli Morenici, closes the 2022-2023 financial statements with growing and satisfactory values and a consolidated turnover of 66,855,000 euros . Overall contributions increased by 18% and total payments to members increased by 30% compared to the previous year. The numbers in the balance sheet also indicate a growth in the volume of business, in the economic result achieved and in the assets which now stand at 30,600,000 euros . Good performance also for the 10 company wine shops which slightly increased sales volumes , in a general wine market which is seeing a significant drop in consumption. “We are satisfied with the results of the past year because they represent the highest numbers achieved by our cooperative group, which acquire even more importance in the current situation of the sector, complex and characterized by multiple challenges – declares the President of Cantine di Verona Luigi Turco – The goals achieved demonstrate once again that our constant commitment to the search for excellence and quality is rewarding us." From an investment point of view, Cantine di Verona has almost completed the plan drawn up at the time of the merger, which included the creation of a new bottling line, a battery of autoclaves for the production of sparkling and semi-sparkling wines, the expansion of the structure of the refrigeration systems and the installation of photovoltaic panels at the Quinto di Valpantena headquarters. For the future, there are several projects in the pipeline aimed at increasing cohesion within the group. “In 2024 – continues Turco – we will install the new photovoltaic system planned in Custoza, which has had delays due to bureaucratic impediments. We are also currently engaged in the implementation of a new management system and a reorganization project , in order to obtain greater efficiency of the company assets and to make the most of internal resources".
