Antonio Bisol Knight of the Republic

Antonio Bisol was appointed by Napolitano Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic

On 2nd June, the President of the Republic awarded Antonio Bisol the Honour of Knight of the Order “of Merit of the Italian Republic”.

Antonio Bisol has dedicated his life to Prosecco with passion and dedication. After starting with his brothers the first sparkling wine house of Prosecco and Cartizze Bisol wines, he chaired for several years the Consortium for the Protection of Prosecco Di Conegliano e Valdobbiadene. In 2001 he initiated the request of the reservation of the name Prosecco to the Ministry of Agriculture, which in 2009 led to the creation of the Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin. The entry of the company in the Grandi Vini Group allowed Antonio to introduce for the first time Prosecco in the Far East.
