Andrea Di Gisi, a former employee of the Case Basse di Montalcino winery, was arrested by the Carabinieri of Siena and Montalcino, coordinated by the Siena Public Prosecutor's Office. Di Gisi was found guilty of having poured 626 hectoliters of wine that would become Brunello (years 2007-2012). The motivation for the vandalism would have been revenge, for having been fired by Gianfranco Soldera.
Andrea Di Gisi was already known for crimes against property. The 39-year-old Roman was held responsible for the economic damage to Case Basse of the Soldera family, one of the most successful companies in the Montalcino area.
details of the "Soldera case", at the headquarters of the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Siena, in the presence of the prosecutor Aldo Natalini, who coordinated the investigations conducted by the military, were illustrated this morning (all details on www.montalcinonews.com).
