Alba Vitæ , the solidarity initiative of AIS Veneto now in its eleventh edition, crosses regional borders for the first time : in fact, eight Associations have enthusiastically joined the proposal, embracing its cause, or raising funds for a regional social project . “For eleven years - declares Marco Aldegheri , President of AIS Veneto - our reality has been promoting this important solidarity project. We are proud of the fact that Alba Vitæ is no longer confined only to our territory, but that other regional associations have joined us in the initiative, embracing the cause ”. “A national edition, that of this year - continues Manuela Cornelii , National Councilor and head of AIS Progetto per il Sociale - which sees eight regions involved from Sicily to Liguria. A change of scale which, trivially, will be able to offer a wider choice to the consumer and which, in reality, will become an excellent example of a win-win strategy. Thanks to the common commitment, and to the precious organization of AIS Veneto, from 2021 it will be possible to express solidarity synergies perfectly adhering to the purpose and, above all, the objective, which has always been AIS Progetto per il Sociale ". The wines selected for the first national edition di Alba Vitæ , available for purchase in the Comunian Vini online shop, are Prima Terra 2015 - Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Doc from Valle Martello (Abruzzo), Volvito 2016 - Cirò Rosso Classico Superiore Riserva Doc from Caparra & Siciliani (Calabria), Niccolò V 2016 - Colli di Luni Rosso - Cantine Lunae (Liguria), Morellone 2017 - Rosso Piceno Superiore Doc from Le Caniette (Marche), Macchiarossa 2016 - Tintilia del Molise Dop by Claudio Cipressi Vignaiolo (Molise), Senes 2017 - Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva Doc (Sardinia) by Argiolas, Etna Rosso 2016 Doc by Primaterra (Sicily), Olmèra 2019 - Bianco Veneto Igt from the De Stefani winery (Veneto). € . AIS Veneto, together with AIS Sicilia, will support this year the activities of the Social Cooperative Rò La Formichina , founded in 2001 in Santa Venerina (Catania) from the experience of the Pope John XXIII Community to support the family homes in the area and promote social and work reintegration of children excluded from society due to their physical condition or their past. The wine chosen by AIS Veneto, which this year sees the baton pass from the delegation of Vicenza to that of Venice, is the white IGT Olmèra 2019 , a product of great personality and always among the most acclaimed of the De Stefani family. The name pays homage to the elm forest that originally covered the territory of Fossalta di Piave where, for over thirty years, the vineyard that gives rise to this wine has been located. It comes from a skilful combination of Friulian and Sauvignon: the first gives body and structure and is dried for about a month, seeking the development of noble rot and then fermenting and maturing in barrique on its own yeasts, while the second, which gives aromaticity and elegance, it ferments and ages in concrete tanks. Olmèra , as well as in the Comunian Vini e-commerce www.comunianvini.it/shop/, is also available in the AIS Veneto online shop store.aisveneto.it/product/23177919/alba-vitae-ed.-2021-olmera- 2019-bianco-veneto-igt-de-stefani
