The Redimore of Mastroberardino wine is an Aglianico Irpinia DOC and the clones are named "Antonio Mastroberardino VCR 418" and "Antonio Mastroberardino VCR 421".
The choice was made to pay homage to Antonio Mastroberardino for his effort in the recovery, protection and enhancement of indigenous vine varieties from Campania.
In collaboration with the nurseries Vivai Cooperativi Rauscedo, the testing began in 2000 with the aim to identify, classify, and record old clones of Aglianico di Taurasi in the national catalogue of vine varieties.
After two years of observation the best biotypes with the best features have been identified.
