Vintage 2011 "excellent and balanced, characterized by structured wines with a high potential for longevity." Five stars for the vintage on stage in Montefalco
Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG made its debut, and the 2011 vintage has 5 stars. The success of the year is attributable to two distinct meteorological elements, albeit well integrated with each other, as explained by the President of the Consorzio Tutela Vini Montefalco, Amilcare Pambuffetti: "The correct spring rainfall and the warm and dry climate, with temperatures above the average from summer until mid-October, contributed to a very good ripening of the grapes, slightly earlier, with a correct balance in the charge of polyphenols. That of 2011 is an overall excellent and balanced vintage, characterized by structured wines with a high potential for longevity ".
