Wines from Terre Estreme Matera 2023

“Vini da Terre Estreme” stops again in Matera to pay homage to those wines which – grown in so-called extreme areas: mountains, steep slopes, rocky terrain, terraces, steps, sand, small islands – have as their common denominator being the fruit of an agriculture with centuries-old origins and history, handed down from generation to generation, which has in its DNA the effort, also extreme, and the passion that produces it.

“Vini da Terre Estreme” confirms itself as a privileged meeting point with the best “heroic” Italian winemaking tradition and beyond.

Two days, dedicated to the market and to the knowledge of these "unique wines", aimed at both operators and advanced consumers, with the presence of the owners of the cellars. Professional operators (distributors, Ho.Re.Ca., media) and passionate wine lovers will have the opportunity, in the two days of the workshop, to learn about and taste the best production of heroic labels, in an ideal journey that crosses the the entire country: from Trentino Alto Adige to Sardinia, from the Aosta Valley to the island of Pantelleria, passing through Valtellina and the Amalfi Coast, the Cinque Terre and the slopes of Etna, Friuli, the Tuscan islands, Veneto , touching Istria, Dalmatia, Serbia.

“Vini da Terre Estreme” for its eleventh edition has chosen to return for the second time to one of the most fascinating cities in Italy: Matera, the city of the Sassi, rock capital in the Mediterranean, the first Italian UNESCO site in Southern Italy. There are few wines that can be defined as heroic, few and of limited production, just as there are few cities that, like Matera, due to their history can rightly be defined as "heroic".

The event will be held on 28/29/30 October 2023 in the setting of Matera, at Palazzo Malvinni Malvezzi and in the rooms of the Auditorium of the Egidio R. Duni Conservatory.

An unmissable event for all lovers of "heroic" wines. In Matera, professional operators and wine lovers will be able to taste over 250 labels proposed by small companies of our country's heroic wine production. Workshops and two MasterClasses led by experts and in-depth moments to discover "Vini da Terre Estreme" are scheduled.
