Overlooking Italy's largest lake and spread across the provinces of Brescia, Mantua, and Verona, the appellation continues its growth today with the addition of the municipality of Castenedolo to the production area. This expansion confirms the vitality of Garda DOC and strengthens its connection to a territory capable of evolving while preserving its identity.

As the president of the Garda DOC Consortium, Paolo Fiorini , likes to define it, Garda is " a corner of the Mediterranean at the foot of the Alps ": a unique climatic balance, characterised by extraordinary brightness, constant lake breezes and a mild microclimate that gives the wines freshness, elegance and a rich aromatic expression.

It's no surprise, then, that millions of visitors choose Lake Garda as their holiday destination every year. Here, wine is an integral part of the local experience: it accompanies wine tastings in the cellar, strolls through the vineyards, boat trips, local cuisine, and evenings spent al fresco. The new Garda DOC lineup perfectly interprets these experiences: a contemporary response to new drinking styles, featuring the appellation as the first Italian DOC to introduce this type of wine. These wines are designed for those who want to experience every moment of summer with lightness and awareness, without sacrificing the quality, identity, and elegance that distinguish the Garda area.

With the arrival of summer, Garda DOC renews its invitation to discover a region where wine is much more than a product: it is the story of a landscape, a culture of hospitality, and a lifestyle that finds its most authentic expression in the lake. The appellation continues to evolve, as demonstrated by the inclusion of Castenedolo and the introduction of low-alcohol wines, responding to new consumer demands without losing its connection to its roots.

The activities are part of the European project Euchronicles Eccellenze DOP: un savoir-faire à tout Europe, a promotional initiative dedicated to the valorization of European agri-food excellence, with the aim of strengthening awareness of the denominations among operators and consumers.
