September in Franciacorta At Tenute La Montina visits with country snack tasting and a new exhibition

A September full of events is expected for the Franciacorta wineries, which on the occasion of the Franciacorta Festival will welcome wine lovers and tourists on the weekends of 12-13 and 19-20 September with guided tours, tastings and experiences in the area. At La Montina di Monicelli Brusati , one of the most well-known and appreciated historical companies, during the two weekends guided tours of the winery with tasting are scheduled at 10.00 and on Sunday 20 September from 17.00 to 19.30 a country snack in the garden. On that occasion, after the guided tour of the cellar, immersed in the greenery of Tenute La Montina, guests will be invited to try a rustic snack with all Lombard flavors in the Giardino degli Archi. Each participant will be provided with a platter with tastings of regional cold cuts and cheeses, accompanied by a soft focaccina and a small dessert and paired with Franciacorta Satèn and Rosé Demi Sec La Montina. A relaxing background music will accompany the tasting.

In September, a new exhibition will also open in the winery's Contemporary Art Gallery : entitled Albaura , it will be dedicated to the works of master Lorenzo Fontana . The term Albaura expresses the cardinal and inspiring concept of the whole collection of the young and multifaceted artist from Verolanuova, that is the suggestion created by the balance between color and sign, which he expresses with a skilful mixed technique, ranging from oil to acrylic and also using the pencil mark and gold. On display, paintings and design pieces (such as lamps, vases, small objects). The exhibition, which will be the corollary to the visit to the cellar, will be open by appointment and will remain open until Saturday 31 October. A pleasant opportunity to meet the artist personally will be the two guided tours with free admission on Sundays 6 and 27 September, at 10:30 (by reservation only).

The La Montina di Monticelli Brusati estates are among the historic companies of Franciacorta. The company vines develop on a vineyard area of approximately 72 hectares, located in 7 municipalities of Franciacorta. Vineyards, predominantly hilly, planted on calcareous and silt-clayey soils with a yield of approximately 100 quintals per hectare with a density of 5,400 / 7,000 plants per hectare. The cellar extends over 7,450 m² underground, which guarantees the lowest possible temperature range all year round (around 13 ° - 16 °) and the optimal condition for the right maturation of Franciacortas. The average production is 380,000 bottles per year.
