Roero Wine Week 2020 bets on catering and on the territory

<< A courageous choice, perhaps against the tide, but necessary to support the Italian economy. >> With this sentence Francesco Monchiero , president of the Consorzio di Tutela Roero , presents the 2020 edition of the Roero Wine Week , a national event, scheduled from 13 to 22 November throughout Italy.

<< The event aims to provide restaurants, wine bars and wine bars with an extra element of appeal, namely the possibility of offering Roero Docg Bianco and Rosso wine by the glass and hosting a dinner with the producer, to allow its customers to meet the faces of this wine . >>

An initiative that was liked by public businesses, so much so that in a short time the record number of 250 members in the Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany and Lazio regions was reached. Important numbers at the moment, achieved thanks to the teamwork of the 57 producers of Roero DOCG Bianco and Rosso involved.

If Roero Docg is spoken of throughout Italy, the heart of the event will still be in the Piedmont area. The Roero Wine Week, in fact, will take place at the International Alba Truffle Fair and dinners with the producer will be organized in the participating premises in the municipalities of the denomination, where, in the menu, a dish with White Truffle will be included . Alba .

Many initiatives will then offer the opportunity to discover a territory rich in history, the Roero, where man and nature live in harmony. For two weekends, Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November and Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November, the 57 participating wineries will open their doors to the public for visits and tastings by appointment. In addition, all customers of the participating restaurants who participated in the initiative will be able to take advantage of free admission to the Wine Experience Museum of Mondodelvino in Priocca, the Museum of Arts and Crafts of a Time in Cisterna d'Asti and a discount for the exhibition. Through the new project "WineTour among the crus of Roero" , lovers of cycling and trekking will finally have the opportunity to participate in four easy excursions to discover the crus , the prestigious vineyards, which have transformed the Roero, with Langhe and Monferrato, in a Unesco World Heritage Site. The result of the collaboration between the Roero Protection Consortium and the Rocche del Roero Ecomuseum, the initiative stems from the desire to "accompany" visitors to discover the lands of Roero DOCG wine and will take place throughout the year.
