PRESS TOUR FROM 4 TO 6 JUNE TO TELL THE STRENGTH OF GARDA DOC

The immersive press tour promoted by the Garda DOC Consortium as part of the European project “DOP Excellence: an all-European savoir-faire” returns to Lake Garda from 4 to 6 June, including data, territory and positioning strategies.

Garda Wine Stories, the event organized by the Garda DOC Consortium, will be back in 2025. From June 4 to 6, it will welcome the international press to the heart of Lake Garda for an exclusive press tour dedicated to discovering the territory, its agri-food excellences and the unique identity of the Garda DOC denomination. The initiative is part of the broader European project “DOP Excellences: a fully European savoir-faire” co-financed by the European Union, with the aim of strengthening the knowledge and competitiveness of four DOP products that are symbols of European know-how: Garda DOC Wines, Salame di Varzi DOP, Prosciutto Crudo di Cuneo DOP and Montasio DOP Cheese. Through tastings, visits to the cellar, moments of discussion and in-depth analysis, the program accompanies participants on an experiential journey that intertwines storytelling, production quality and territorial valorization. Among the most anticipated events of this fourth edition, the conference scheduled for Thursday 5 June at the Dogana Veneta in Lazise, entitled “ Garda DOC between HoReCa and GDO: numbers, perceptions and perspectives ”.

The meeting will offer an in-depth analysis of the progress of the denomination through data from the Distributors' Observatory and the point of view of buyers from large-scale distribution, proposing itself as a concrete opportunity to reflect on the positioning of the DOC in the contemporary market. " Garda Wine Stories is not just an event, but a structured project that is allowing us, year after year, to build a modern, competitive denomination that is consistent with current market dynamics. We work on solid foundations, based on data and analyses that help us to read in depth the potential of our territory and enhance it in a sustainable way. 2025 represents a strategic step: from knowledge of the perception of the denomination to direct comparison with the main players in distribution, we are ready to chart together the course for a Garda DOC that is increasingly recognisable, present and appreciated in the Horeca, GDO and international channels ", declares Paolo Fiorini , President of the Garda DOC Consortium. Garda Wine Stories thus confirms itself as a tool for storytelling and promotion with a high identity content, designed to build a coherent and contemporary image of the denomination through the voice of the producers, the direct experience of the places and the sharing of data emerging from research and analyses carried out in recent years. An evolution also made possible thanks to the European project “Eccellenze DOP”, as Paolo Fiorini , President of the Garda DOC Consortium, underlines: « Garda Wine Stories today represents a concrete example of how a denomination can tell its story with depth and coherence within a European vision. The project has allowed us to activate a virtuous dialogue between territorial identity and market dynamics, enhancing the DOP brand as a cultural and competitive lever

The project “ DOP Excellences: an all-European savoir-faire ” will continue in the second half of the year with new strategic actions, including a national television campaign, promotional activities in Italian GDO points of sale - Tasting Days - and further study trips in the area. In this context, Garda Wine Stories confirms itself as one of the key tools to give continuity to the choral story of the DOP excellences involved.
