Journey to the lands of Prosecco DOC

A territory that stretches from Vicenza to Trieste like a river that, with its tributaries, embellishes a place made of history, ingenuity and know-how. Four provinces, those of Friuli Venezia Giulia, and five in Veneto to tell the lands of Prosecco DOC in a journey capable of surprising and amaze. Just as lightness, vivacity and balance between aromas and acidity are the predominant characteristics of Prosecco DOC, the same can be said of the main cities.

We start from Trieste , the city of Bora and coffee as a lifestyle, of the Barcolana, a historic international sailing regatta. Its beauty is found in the words of Svevo, Saba and Joyce who, in a distant time, loved to stop in the cafes and lounges of the city. Trieste is a city of pleasant contrasts, with an all-Italian elegance and the first hints of Baltic flavor that perfume the kitchen in a language of taste to be discovered.

On the road to Gorizia you can see the places of the war and you can breathe even more the air of the border areas. A curiosity: in Piazza Transalpina you walk with one foot in Italy and one in Slovenia and until 2004 there was a wall to underline this limit.

Here we are in Udine , a city on a human scale, the ideal place to sip sparkling wine, eat and enjoy time without a precise destination: it has welcoming arcades and squares, the canals, the characteristic canals that surround the city, the masterpieces of Tiepolo and a Castle to make it immediately special.

Pordenone establishes what are the places of making of the lands of Prosecco DOC. A city that smells of Friuli but also already of Veneto, it is a beautiful mix of art and shopping to alternate with the nature that reigns supreme in the surroundings.

With Belluno you officially enter the Venetian territory. In an area of undisputed charm, protected by the Dolomites and bathed by the Piave, the city is

suggestive in the variety of its forms: the library and its pleasant portico, the basilica of San Martino and its bell tower, then the Interactive Museum of Migrations.

Sports and nature lovers will find the perfect white of Cortina, wrapped in its timeless elegance, of the Dolomites.
