Colli Berici - The lands, the vineyards, the villas is the new book, presented yesterday at Villa San Fermo in Lonigo (VI), created by the Consorzio Tutela Vini Colli Berici and Vicenza to celebrate its territory. The volume, written in Italian and English, contains the history of the Beriche hills, with a large space dedicated to the transformation of the wine production in the area. "Our territory is perhaps less well known than others, but no less interesting - comments Giovanni Ponchia , Director of the Consorzio Tutela Vini Colli Berici and Vicenza - We are sure that this publication will be a help for all those who want to venture for the first time to discovery of the Berici area , but also to let connoisseurs and enthusiasts rediscover this area, with different eyes and new information ". Colli Berici - The lands, the vineyards, the villas dedicates the first chapters to the birth of the hills that surround the city of Vicenza and their transformation until today, focusing on unspoiled nature, the most evocative views and the neoclassical villas that dot the landscape. The wine history and the symbolic vineyards of the Berici Hills are the protagonists of the second section, which also collects the trend of the vintages from 2000 to 2019. For the realization of the project, the Consorzio Tutela Vini Colli Berici and Vicenza involved, alongside the pen of the its Director Giovanni Ponchia, also the writer Gianluca Sgreva, the geologist Alessandra Giorgianni, Prof. Gianni Moriani, coordinator of the Master in Philosophy of Food and Wine of the San Raffaele University of Milan, the CREA-VE Conegliano researcher Diego Tomasi and the ARPA Veneto technician Silvia Obber, with photos by Claudio Portinari and Mauro Fermariello.
