"Cantine Aperte" (Open Cellars) 2015 Lazio

On 30th–31st May 2015 "Cantine Aperte" (Open Cellars) takes place again in all regions of Italy and is going to be, for over 1,000 member wineries, an event of great importance. Twenty–second edition of Lazio that will open its wine cellars to enthusiasts. The wine of Lazio, constantly increasing in quality and more and more valued as a protagonist and reason of interest for Tourists, Tour Operators, Buyers and Opinion Leaders.



Many are the events that will delight wine tourists in companies, who will be welcomed as friends by the best producers associated, led among barrels and galleries, to taste their wines paired with typical products of local agriculture in the Angolo Dei Sapori (bread, salami, cheese, pork, organic products and in oil food, sweets, honey, jams and other goodies) to promote in addition to wine agricultural products and food of the territories of the Lazio Region, as the quality and variety of typical agricultural and food production are the history of the territory and of the people who populate it.

Since 1994 the Wine Tourism of Lazio has been supporting the greatest regional festival in honour of good wine. From the testimonies gathered by wine tourists it is possible to draw a profile of the contemporary wine tourist. A visitor who is ever closer to the territory and its beauty, combining the passion for wine to culture and tradition of the area that he/she goes to visit. To this end, this year the Association of Lazio organizes "Lunch with the winemaker" (at fixed and low costs); a special event, a table full of wine tourists who do not know each other, but who are united by passion for the wine world and who will be offered wine to pair with each dish.
