"Cantine Aperte" (Open Cellars) 2015 in Trentino Alto Adige

  • 21/05/2015

An itinerary of degustations accompanied by tastings of typical products of Trentino. Four Trentino wineries open their doors in an ecological key and are connected with the Eno–Bus!

"Cantine Aperte" (Open Cellars), the event that now has surpassed the two decades, has seen in these years a steady increase in visitors that, if initially they were "local visitors", in recent years the predominant presence is of wine tourists from outside the region. This phenomenon is quite logical because after visiting the wineries in the region they go to visit the neighboring regions. To give a numerical data of the phenomenon, in Trentino Alto Adige they reach ten thousand wine tourists, mainly from other regions (then with obvious reasons of purchase to take advantage of the opportunity to buy wines in a winery outside their territory).

News of Open Cellars for Sunday, 31st May, in Trentino Alto Adige: an itinerary of tastings accompanied by tastings of typical products of Trentino in four wineries (Ferrari F.lli Lunelli, Moser Francesco, Maso Poli, and Endrizzi) which open their doors in an ecological key, celebrate Trentino, the motherland of fine grapes, and are connected with the Eno–Bus.

In effect, given the success of last year, the wineries will offer to friends wine tourists the chance to travel by Eno–Bus, a new and simple way to live Open Cellars in an ecological key. The Eno–Bus service will run continuously from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Once arrived at the various facilities, guests will have the opportunity to participate in the guided tour of the winery and in the tasting of wines combined with typical Trentino specialties of selected producers belonging to the Wine and Flavours Routes of Trentino.

Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Trentino Cystic Fibrosis Onlus Association, because in times of joy and conviviality the thought of those who suffer is always alive... and therefore, each one of us can pay his/her drop of help.

The Ferrari Trento winery is waiting for wine lovers on Sunday, 31st May, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This year, by reservation only, you can visit the Alto Margon vineyard, with organized transfer. In the winery, guests, even this year, will have the opportunity to experience the sabrage. It is a French word and the literal meaning is "shaving", but in the past with this word they intended, primarily, the saber swipe with which the cork of the bottles of sparkling wines was blown up. Included in the toast, in addition to Ferrari Brut "Orgoglio Italia" Trentodoc and Ferrari Rosé there will be some appetizers by Locanda Margon (member of the Trentino Wine Route) and the visits will be for a fee to the cost of EUR 10 per person. In addition, exceptionally, on Sunday, there will be the opportunity to visit Villa Margon, a fifteenth century residence, surrounded by vineyards and woods, owned by the Lunelli family, who wanted to honour with a representative office rich in art and history the centuries–old tradition of the Ferrari bubbles. At Ferrari Incontri two positions will be arranged: one for grappa and one for wines and, this year, the winery adheres to the Eno–Bus project: two busses that four wineries make available, without any cost, to guests, and that will make a circuit among the wineries members.
