An initiative that involves every year more and more vinegrowers and more than one million enthusiasts and wine tourists ready to visit the various wineries and to be fascinated and intrigued by the route marked by wine.

"Drink what you see and see what you drink". This is the theme that will be the common thread in all the initiatives and events for 2015 of the Wine Tourism Movement, which means that the claim that made us famous, after twenty years, has made wine tourism and activities related to it have changed and developed. Therefore, starting from the original idea of "Cantine Aperte" (Open Cellars), one of a kind, a philosophy and a way of life has been created. The central role was that of our producers who, in combining skills and love for wine, were able to introduce the public to the wine industry in a simple way, offering a wealth of valuable information, succeeding in conveying history and curiosity, in this way revealing imagery. Our Companies, which first opened its doors, have made the wine tourist of today a conscious person, not just curious, but eager to learn about the winery, its products and territories.

In line with the slogan of Expo 2015 – " Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life" – the theme of this year will give even more prominence to all the initiatives undertaken by the Wine Tourism Movement of Molise to promote our products and our territory. Open Cellars is the most important wine festival in Italy; It is a major event for professionals, fans and tourists curious about the amazing and fascinating world " wine" .

The companies participating in the Molise Wine Tourism Movement, on Saturday 30th and Sunday,31st May 2015, will open the doors of their wine cellars in an ideal path marked by wine and offer the opportunity to make a unique experience to the discovery of a hilly landscape of high vocation for a production of high quality with the Biferno, Molise, Tintilia DOC and the Terre di Osci IGT.

Each company participating in MTV Molise, as has become customary, will delight its visitors with tastings of fine wines paired with typical products from Molise, entertainment of folk music groups, exhibitions of art and crafts of the place where the winery is located, guided tours vineyards and monuments representing the territorial reality of Molise.

"Cantine Aperte" 2015 is a special day focused on the discovery of the nectar of Bacchus, by which the Wine Tourism Movement of Molise promotes and enhances the culture of wine educating young people to a quality and conscious drinking. Soon, the much awaited event dedicated to the world of Bacchus and addressed to fans, producers, novices and simple explorers of taste, eager to delight their palates with excellent made in Molise toasts.

"Wine and Tourism, a winning combination– the president of MTV Molise, Gabriele Di Blasio, stated – on which we must carry on working to continue this promotion activity of our products. A way to spread knowledge of the quality of our production in all its phases and structures that enable the transformation of the product".

Using ingredients of the highest quality, from certified local farms and respecting, where possible, ancient production methods (eg. stone ground flour, hand production of cheese), will be offered for tasting dishes that reproduce the ritual symposium of the Orphic rites, as attested by organic finds in the wonderful bell–shaped vases with red figures, which represented the wealth of the three beautiful and rich burials of the Frentani tribe, found by chance in the town of Ururi, dated around the fourth century BC. After the tasting, our guests, accompanied by professional archaeologists, will have the opportunity to visit the Roman amphitheater and the archaeological park of Villa Zappone in Larino, where the video documentary about the burials will be presented, from the fortuitous discovery to the staging of the exhibition at the Museum Samnite Museum, in Campobasso.
