BARBERA D'ASTI CONSORTIUM AND MONFERRATO WINES | FROM MILAN TO MERANO TO ASTI: THE THIRD EDITION OF THE BARBERA D'ASTI WINE FESTIVAL IS PRESENTED

The third edition of the Barbera d'Asti Wine Festival was presented on Friday in the evocative setting of Le Cattedrali Relais . This project, promoted by the Barbera d'Asti e Vini del Monferrato Consortium, will guide journalists, industry professionals, and wine lovers over the coming months to discover the region's appellations through a series of tastings, meetings, and in-depth discussions. The program for the event was unveiled at the press conference, which this year strengthens its focus on promoting the appellations and the region, engaging new audiences and creating new opportunities for storytelling.

" The third edition of the Barbera d'Asti Wine Festival represents an important opportunity to continue promoting our appellations ," says Filippo Mobrici , President of the Consortium. "The Festival was created to promote wine, but today it increasingly represents a tool for describing the region, its culture, and the work of its producers. This is why we have created a calendar of events capable of engaging with a variety of audiences, from professionals to consumers, with the aim of raising awareness of Barbera d'Asti and the other appellations protected by the Consortium to an increasingly broader and more qualified audience."

The calendar will kick off on October 18th in Milan , at The Westin Palace Hotel , with a walk around tasting and two masterclasses , created in collaboration with AIS Lombardia and led by Giuseppe Carrus, curator of the Gambero Rosso Italian Wine Guide.

The Milan event aims to bring professionals, enthusiasts, and industry professionals closer to the Monferrato winemaking heritage, creating an opportunity for discussion with producers, ambassadors of a region that values quality and sustainability. The Festival will continue on November 8th at the Merano WineFestival , one of the most prestigious events on the international wine scene, with a masterclass dedicated to the Consortium's appellations and an exclusive dinner reserved for selected journalists and industry professionals. The journey will culminate in November in Asti , at the prestigious "Le Cattedrali Relais" venue, with a closing talk, a cooking show on the theme of sustainability hosted by resident chef Gianluca Renzi, and the Barbera d'Asti Wine Festival gala dinner . It will be the culmination of a project that focuses on wine as an expression of a unique cultural, landscape, and production heritage.

The Barbera d'Asti Wine Festival is part of the European Born Sustainable project, an initiative that promotes sustainable development models through the valorization of excellent products and suitable territories. The project is a collaboration between the Barbera d'Asti and Monferrato Wines Consortium, the Roccaverano DOP Protection Consortium, and the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Consortium, organizations united by a commitment to environmental, economic, and social sustainability and a desire to pass these values on to future generations.

Through the Barbera d'Asti Wine Festival, the Consortium confirms its commitment to promoting the protected denominations and the Monferrato region, creating opportunities for producers, operators, the press, and consumers to meet and discuss, and promoting a wine culture increasingly aware and attentive to sustainability issues.
