Sunday, March 29th, the event dedicated to the Faenza artist Alessandro Placci and the tasting of the Ronco della Simia Romagna Sangiovese Modigliana DOC cru

Wine, notes and art : an event that combines oenology, contemporary art and live music. On Sunday 29 March 2026, from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm, the Ronchi di Castelluccio winery of Aldo and Paolo Rametta will host the exhibition of the Faenza ceramist Alessandro Placci , aka PLUZ , at its headquarters in Modigliana (Forlì-Cesena), and a tasting dedicated to Ronco della Simia Sangiovese Modigliana DOC .

Born in 1990, PLUZ develops a personal exploration of contemporary ceramics, working primarily with clay as a medium of expression. His works—statues, vases, and artistic compositions, including his celebrated monkey head sculptures —arise from a careful observation of everyday reality and a direct dialogue with the material, which guides their form and transformations. The sculptures are recognizable by the contrast between sensual and sharp forms and a visual language that invites the viewer to engage in a personal dialogue with the work. The exhibition will be held in the estate's outdoor spaces and in the interior spaces , including the residence's cellar and tasting room.

The program will kick off at 2:30 PM with the presentation of the solo exhibition and a conversation with the artist , followed at 3:00 PM by a guided walk through the vineyards and cellar to discover the company and the Modigliana landscape. From 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM, there will also be a creative workshop for children , accompanied by a snack.

The company's wines will be the leitmotif of the event: during the visit to the exhibition, Le More Romagna Sangiovese Modigliana DOC and Lunaria Rubicone IGT Sauvignon Blanc will be served, while at 4.00 pm, in the main hall, there will be a special tasting of two vintages of Ronco della Simia , one of the iconic wines of Ronchi di Castelluccio.

From 5:00 PM , there will be an aperitif in the estate garden, featuring Vindice Metodo Classico Pas Dosé made from Sangiovese grapes, which will accompany Alceste Neri 's concert . A graduate with honors from the G. Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro, the Faenza-born musician is active as a pianist and vocal coach at the Martini Conservatory in Bologna, as well as in electronic and electroacoustic music, particularly in the soundtrack of contemporary art exhibitions and performances.

" Wine is the cornerstone of all our work," explains Aldo Rametta , co-owner of Ronchi di Castelluccio with his brother Paolo, "but we like to express it through experiences that involve other languages. For us, the winery represents a place to experience and share : the exhibition was born precisely from this intention, to create a dialogue between contemporary art, landscape, and wine , three elements that express the identity of our territory in different ways."

The entrance ticket costs 50 euros and includes a tasting of Ronco della Simia . Children are free. For information and reservations : info.ronchidicasteluccio@rdcpdd.com – tel. 351 742 7311.

Ronchi di Castelluccio | Born in New Orleans and raised between the United States and Switzerland, brothers Aldo and Paolo Rametta brought a dream to life in 2016, combining their Romagna roots with a passion for agriculture. Thus was born Poggio della Dogana, a winery in Terra del Sole, on the hills of Castrocaro Terme and Brisighella. Their strictly organic production focuses on native varietals, with a particular focus on Albana. In 2020, they acquired a second estate on the cold slopes of Modigliana, Ronchi di Castelluccio, thus renewing the historic winery founded in 1974 by filmmaker Gian Vittorio Baldi, a pioneer in zoning and synonymous with the excellence of Romagna wine. Here, Sangiovese takes center stage, expressing its most authentic identity.
