Wine in Venice: discovering Italian wine with AIS Veneto

A journey through the Italian vineyard, a story of the wine peculiarities that distinguish the regions of the Bel Paese: at Wine In Venice , the wine red carpet scheduled in Venice from 28 to 30 January , the excellences of the north, center and south Italy will be the protagonists of the three masterclasses curated by AIS Veneto , partner of the event and quality judge of the producers who will parade during the event. The three appointments will be hosted by Alessandro Nigro Imperiale , elected best sommelier AIS 2022 last November. The first meeting Vigneto Italia – Espressioni del Nord is scheduled for Sunday 29 January at 2.30 pm, in the masterclass area set up in the elegant halls on the first floor of the Scuola Grande della Misericordia , historic building in the heart of Venice. Following this, at 16.00, Vigneto Italia – Espressioni del Centro will explore the excellence of the regions of central Italy, while the last appointment, Vigneto Italia – Espressioni del Sud , will be held on Monday 30 January at 18.00 and will illustrate the typical wine of the southern regions . Alessandro Nigro Imperiale will also take part in the Valpolicella DOC Superiore masterclass: style perspectives conducted by Jean-Charles Viens, deputy editor of Spirito di Vino Asia magazine, scheduled for Saturday 28 January at 10.45 am. Finally, every day from 11.00 to 18.00, the sommeliers of AIS Veneto will provide service in the Lugana Lounge space of the Scuola Grande della Misericordia, where it will be possible to access the tasting tables with the proposals of the twenty producers selected for the values of ethics, innovation and sustainability, key themes of the event. Wine in Venice is a stage dedicated to protagonists, stories and contaminations, but also an ideal container to talk about the three focuses chosen by the organizers (Winetales, Beacon, The Media Company Store and Venezia Unica) for the first edition of the event, which will see presence of many guests to discuss together and imagine "The Wine of the Future". Entrance to the tasting stalls is free for AIS members with the procedure indicated on the AIS Veneto website.
