XVI edition of Radici del Sud: on June 15th the appointment is in Sannicandro di Bari

The events in presence are back with the Exhibition of wines and oils of Southern Italy which will take place on Tuesday 15 June 2021 from 15 to 21 at the Norman Swabian Castle of Sannicandro di Bari. The event will be the final moment of the XVI edition of the Radici del Sud (10-15 June), the only one open to the public , where over 100 companies will present their range of products. For the first time there will also be producers from Sardinia, Abruzzo and Molise , together with those from Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania and Sicily already present in previous editions. For companies wishing to participate, it is still possible to register by 25 May (all the info on the Radici del Sud website ). On the other hand, about 140 companies that have so far joined the Competition and the B2B meetings scheduled for 13 and 14 June, again as part of the event. “We are immensely happy to leave again - commented Nicola Campanile , organizer of the event - and to finally be able to confirm this edition of Radici del Sud . The Norman Swabian Castle of Sannicandro di Bari has undergone a careful restoration in recent months and today is the perfect location to carry out events in safety while maintaining social distances against Covid, thanks to the large spaces it is equipped with. Here the producers of the cellars and oil mills will tell firsthand about their work and the territory. I hope it will be an opportunity for many people to find out more about these wonderful regions and their traditions ”. The two-day competition, in which over 350 wines from all over Southern Italy will be tested, will be reserved for journalists, influencers and wine experts, divided into two juries, one national and one international, led by 4 Italian presidents: Andrea Terraneo ( President Vinarius), Francesco Muci (Slow Wine), Luciano Pignataro (Lucianopignatarowineblog) and Maurizio Valeriani (Vinodabere) who will highlight the most identifying characteristics of the native vines. In the same days, the meetings between wine producers and importers from Europe and, above all, from the United States, who can arrive in Italy without carrying out quarantine, will be held in the Scuderie room, completely renovated. The announcement conference of the winners of the Competition will be on Tuesday 15 June at 11.00 in the courtyard of the Castle, in the presence of the Presidents of the Jury and all national and international guests.
