On Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th November, at Piacenza Expo, the fifth edition of the exhibition–market promoted by FIVI will take place. Winegrower of the year: Elisabetta Fagiuoli
All is ready, in Piacenza, for the Wines of the Winegrowers Market, on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th November in Piacenza Expo.
It is the fifth edition for the exhibition–market of the producers associated with FIVI (Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers), the greatest event of its kind in Italy, which this year has taken another step forward: 330 exhibitors from all over Italy (last year were 265); 10 Food Artisans, companies producing typical food paired with wines; four thematic tastings led by the winegrowers directly, already all sold out; 400 trucks ready to transport the wines purchased. In effect, in Piacenza, not only you can meet in person the winegrowers, listen directly to them telling stories of the territories and taste their wines, but you can purchase directly at the stands.
During the market the Romano Levi award for the Winegrower of the Year will be delivered to Elisabetta Fagiuoli, winemaker in San Gimignano (Siena). An award recognized by FIVI for her unwavering belief in the value of the land, for the energies she employed over a lifetime to guard it, respect it and promote it. For the importance of her role as a winemaker, for being a landmark and a valuable example for all winegrowers in Italy.
Moreover, the FIVI plates will be awarded to nine new points of affection. This brings to 23 the number of wine bars and restaurants throughout Italy offering especially the wines of the winegrowers and that can expose the crest of the association in their venue.
Finally, the winning photos of the #indipendentipernatura contest will be awarded, a constes launched on social media by FIVI which collected 660 shots in vineyards or in the nature. 25 are the photos selected by a technical jury on display at the Exhibition and 5 are the authors rewarded with a gastronomic weekend and bottles of wine.
