Vinitaly 2026: Tarquinia takes center stage with DiVino Etrusco

  • 15/04/2026

Tarquinia took center stage at Vinitaly 2026, the most important international event dedicated to the world of wine, with a panel presentation of DiVino Etrusco, held on April 14th in Verona, within the Lazio Region space.

The meeting was attended by Tarquinia Mayor Francesco Sposetti, Lazio Regional Agriculture Commission President Giulio Menegali Zelli Iacobuzi, Regional Councilor Daniele Sabatini, and food and wine expert Carlo Zucchetti, a key figure in the food and wine festival.

"Presenting DiVino Etrusco at Vinitaly means bringing Tarquinia to a highly prestigious international stage, showcasing the work of our wineries and the quality of local products," emphasizes Mayor Francesco Sposetti. "This event, which will take place from August 20th to 23rd and from August 27th to 29th, is not just a food and wine event, but a true tool for promoting the region, bringing together culture, history, and economic development. The growth path undertaken in recent years demonstrates that investing in quality and collaboration between institutions and producers is the right path to strengthen our city's identity and increasingly project it towards national and international markets and audiences."

The mayor then introduced Arsial President Massimiliano Raffa, who emphasized the importance of increasingly qualified promotion, focusing on high-level events that showcase the region and its wine culture. He also highlighted Arsial's role in concretely supporting businesses throughout their growth and development. The panel provided an opportunity to discuss and promote the region, focusing on the value of wine as a defining, cultural, and economic element, but also as a strategic lever for regional marketing and tourism development. During the presentations, it was emphasized how DiVino Etrusco has grown over time, becoming an event capable of combining tradition, production quality, and the promotion of the historic center, contributing concretely to the growth of local wineries and the promotion of the entire agri-food sector.

Ample space was also given to wine tourism and the integrated promotion of the region, highlighting how events of this kind allow us to showcase not only wine, but the entire cultural, landscape, and production heritage of Tuscia, strengthening the connection between agriculture, tourism, and local identity. "DiVino Etrusco is celebrating its twentieth edition," stated Giulio Menegali Zelli Iacobuzi, president of the Lazio Region's Agriculture Commission, "confirming its position as an event capable of growing in numbers and quality, showcasing Tarquinia's wineries, vineyards, historic center, and tourism. This event showcases the region's identity, tradition, and development, with a growing focus on revitalizing the city's landscape and production."

"The presentation of DiVino Etrusco at the Lazio Region pavilion during Vinitaly 2026 was a success," said Regional Councilor Daniele Sabatini. "The continuity of the event, now in its 20th edition, demonstrates how the ability to combine food and wine excellence with local marketing is a winning combination for best promoting our region. A personal thank you goes to Regional Agriculture Councilor Giancarlo Righini, the entire Arsial organization, and all the producers who partnered with us at this truly extraordinary Vinitaly. In this context, the presentation of Divino Etrusco was one of the most iconic and evocative moments, certainly a good omen for the promotional activities that will take place in Tarquinia next August."

Food and wine expert Carlo Zucchetti highlighted the new additions: "This year, DiVino Etrusco is once again enriched by a dialogue between territories, hosting not only wines from the Etruscan Dodecapolis but also those from Sicily and Calabria, the heart of Magna Graecia. This choice aims to underscore the historical and cultural connection between these civilizations, united by a profound winemaking tradition and a shared vision of wine as an expression of territorial identity."
