VINITALY 2023: SOUTH TYROL WINE PROTAGONIST AT THE VERONA FAIR

90 local wineries will be present at the Verona fair ready to welcome sector operators and enthusiasts from 2 to 5 April. At the central info-point of the Consorzio Vini Alto Adige, stand C2/D2 in pavilion 6, every day it will be possible to take part in thematic tastings of the best South Tyrolean wine productions.

From 2 to 5 April 2023, the Consorzio Vini Alto Adige will be the protagonist at Vinitaly, the international wine and spirits exhibition scheduled in the city of Verona. In pavilion 6, in fact, 90 South Tyrolean wineries will be present with their own stands, which for the occasion will present the new vintages of their wines as well as the new products. For the first time, the Association of Classic Method Sparkling Wine Producers from Alto Adige will also be present with its own stand, which will participate in the event by proposing a thematic tasting. During Vinitaly 2023, in addition to the possibility of being able to explore the topics of interest with the individual companies, South Tyrol will tell, through various tastings, the thousand facets of its extraordinary wine-growing territory: in the central stand (C2/D2) the wines of Adige will in fact be the protagonists of the four days of events through thematic tastings with the aim of accompanying the visitor on an ideal journey to discover the different declinations of this extraordinary wine area. 20 wines in comparative tasting that it will be possible to taste for each day simply by registering at the information point manned by the Consortium (in position C2/D2 in pavilion 6 ) and tasting the wines offered in self-service. "With our calendar of tastings at Vinitaly - says Eduard Bernhart , Director of the Consorzio Vini Alto Adige - we aim to tell a selected audience of sector operators what is the real plus of our territory, i.e. the extreme variety of nuances due to the great diversity of territories, vines, microclimates which makes it one of the most interesting terroirs in the panorama of our country.Here, in fact, over 20 different cultivars are grown on soils of various conformations and at different altitudes and it is precisely through our thematic tastings that we seek to give all this back to the visitor who will come to visit us at the fair". This is the program of thematic tastings scheduled during the four days in Verona: SUNDAY 2 APRIL: "A RANGE OF SHADES: THE PINOT FAMILY FROM ALTO ADIGE"; MONDAY 3 APRIL: "ON STAGE THE HISTORICAL VARIETIES OF ALTO ADIGE: GEWÜRTZTRAMINER, LAGRAIN, SCHIAVA"; TUESDAY 4 APRIL: "FRESHNESS AND MOUNTAIN INFLUSIONS IN THE WHITE WINES OF ALTO ADIGE" . The last day of WEDNESDAY 5 APRIL will finally be dedicated to the "SPUMANTI DELL'ALTO ADIGE" . This year, in fact, for the first time the Association of Alto Adige Classic Method sparkling wine producers will be present at the fair with a dedicated stand (D3) in order to let visitors and operators in the sector taste the best of South Tyrolean bubbles.
