Made valuable and "magic" by a sometimes mysterious production process, Vin Santo perfectly embodies the definition by Veronelli of "meditation wine". At Vinitaly 2015 the Veronelli Seminar organizes an unmissable tasting reserved for curious tasters in search of rare and high–quality wines.

A unique event, during which you can taste sweet wines of great complexity and charm, often numbered by critics among the best wines in Italy. The Luigi Veronelli Permanent Seminar proposes at Vinitaly 2015 a meeting dedicated to Vin Santo, an opportunity to compare samples produced from very different grapes and territories.

There is no better opportunity to discover the breadth, the complexity, the depth of these great sweet wines, than to taste them, on Tuesday, March 24th, 2015 at 3:30 p.m., at the International Exhibition of Wine and Spirits. At the Orchidea Room of Palaexpo and inside the Tasting Ex ... Press course, Vin Santo for meditation (between the sacred and the profane) is a real journey that will lead the participants from the vineyards of Trentino towards Tuscany, providing guidance on the production processes, the organoleptic characteristics and the methods of tasting that are typical of this amazing type. Three closely related aspects, in which time and constant dedication play a fundamental role, so much to push Luigi Veronelli – to whom is dedicated, this year, the Lombardy Pavilion of the Fair – to include Vin Santo in the of wines "for meditation", a category of happy invention by him.

«Many are the characters that distinguish them from other wines: the production process, founded on drying but also on fermentation and on the long stay in barrels, the opulent organoleptic profile and the particular modality in which the Vin Santo wines require to be tasted to be appreciated to the fullest. They are extraordinary wines, rarely consumed, of which the public of wine lovers often ignores the real potential» – Andrea Bonini, director of the Luigi Veronelli Permanent Seminar, reminds.

The appointment at Vinitaly will give participants also another pleasant surprise: if meditation is to be, then why not try listening to some brief readings from *Pastiche – Cultura materiale alla Veronelli. Angelo Gaja, Jo?ko Gravner, Gianni Mura and Luigi Moio are among the authors of the monograph on Luigi Veronelli ten years after his death. A collection of relations between contemporary paths and the ideas, the perspectives, the approach of a great intellectual of the twentieth century.

Veronelli Seminar will be present also at Vinitaly for the entire period of the event at the Arena Service Center, Stand 13.
