NATURAL WINE IS THE JUICE OF THE EARTH



From 5 to 7 April at Villa la Favorita in Sarego (Vicenza) the Exhibition of natural wines is back

VinNatur – Natural Winegrowers Association.

For tasting, the wines of 150 Italian and European producers. This year the attention is paid to buyers and distributors.



From Saturday 5 to Monday 7 April the VinNatur – Natural Winegrowers Association reopens its frescoed halls and the historic cellars of Villa la Favorita for the eleventh edition of the exhibitors completely dedicated to wines produced according to the principles of natural viticulture.



VILLA FAVORITA brings together European producers who have in common the aim of sharing experiences and techniques to produce wine by healthy agriculture, abolishing the use of pesticides, herbicides and chemically derived fertilizers, both for the land and for the vines. The major focus is directed to the ground and its natural balance. In the cellar we continue the work started in the vineyard not allowing any selected yeasts, additives (of whatever origin) and invasive techniques, disrespectful of the raw material. Is also reduced to a minimum, and if possible eliminated, the use of sulfur dioxide.



Villa Favorita in 2014 will welcome 150 NATURAL WINEGROWERS from many European countries, primarily Italy and then France, Spain, Slovenia, Austria ... Hundreds of wines of all types, and products from many different grape varieties, will be available for tasting and for sale to tables of the producers.



The public will have three full days, Saturday 5 and Sunday, April 6 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Monday, April 7 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, to taste but also to meet and talk with the winemakers, to understand how they work and relate to their vineyards and their territories. All with entrance fee of EURO 20.



The novelty of this edition is the TASTING ROOM, a room that will be set up for tastings and private sector operators such as buyers, distributors and press. Angiolino Maule, founder and Chairman of VinNatur explains the initiative: «We went in the space of two years from nearly 200 to more than 350 importers present, coming from all over the world, with an increase of over 30%. We believe it is important to devote to them time and space so that they can learn about our associated wineries and taste with calm and in optimal conditions. The attention to the markets, especially foreign ones, passes also from these things».



The GOURMET COMPONENT of the event will live up to the most demanding palates, as is tradition. Indeed, selected artisans will offer delicious raw materials such as cheese, salami, olive oil, chocolate and more. A real bakery will be set up in collaboration with Esmach (www.esmach.com) and will churn in direct and continuous cycle fresh bread made of sourdough to accompany the wine tasting.



The restaurant, one of the highlights of the event, will be prepared by chef Stefano De Lorenzi and by the staff of the Zenzero restaurant of Grumolo delle Abbadesse (VI) – www.ristorantezenzero.com, which will offer visitors menus, quick snacks and picnic baskets, prepared with organic ingredients and designed to bring out the best pairing with natural wines, but also balanced from a nutritional standpoint.



Villa Favorita is the event through which VinNatur spreads a wine culture based on respect for the earth and health, that of winegrowers and the consumer.



This concept is best expressed by the PICTURE SYMBOL of the 2014 Exhibition, created by Alessio Guarda young Venetian illustrator, the latest winner of the online competition that every year the Association launches to stimulate creativity and reflection on the theme of natural wine, and raise awareness of its mission.
