Vernaccia di San Gimignano Preview

During the Preview producers will present to the public and to industry journalists and professionals, the vintages of Vernaccia di San Gimignano which will hit the market in 2014: the 2013 ones for the Vintage type, the 2012 ones (or earlier vintages, according to the time of aging established by the manufacturer) for the Reserve type.

At the tasting counters with producers there will be both the Vernaccia di San Gimignano wines in preview, and some of the earlier vintages.

In the room reserved to journalists for the technical tasting with sommelier service, only the Vernaccia di San Gimignano wines in preview will be present: to access the room, reservation is required upon confirmation of participation in the Preview, indicating the chosen time.

Program

Sunday, February 16th

From 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.: Vernaccia di San Gimignano Preview, opening to the public of the tasting counters with producers. Admission is free.

At the same time, opening of the room reserved to industry journalists for technical tasting with sommelier service: only by reservation.

At 9:00 p.m.: Welcome dinner reserved to journalists at the Villa San Paolo Hotel

Monday, February 17th

9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Vernaccia di San Gimignano Preview, reserved to journalists and industry professionals. Opening of the tasting counters with producers and of the room reserved to industry journalists for technical tasting with sommelier service, for which booking is required.

At 11:00 a.m., “From Elsa to the Danube, Vernaccia di San Gimignano meets Gruener Veltliner”, ninth edition of the “The white wine and its territories” tasting cycle, conducted by Francesco Falcone, in Sala Dante of the Town Hall, Piazza Duomo. The tasting is reserved to industry journalists, by reservation.

12:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.: Buffet.
