The producers of San Gimignano are presenting on Sunday 15th and Monday 16th February the new vintages of Vernaccia di San Gimignano in the rooms of the De Grada Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art: the products of the latest vintage, the 2014 one, for the classic Vernaccia di San Gimignano, the 2013 for the Riserva, but also wines from previous vintages subjected to aging in a cellar or in bottles for a longer than provided by the product specification period.
Thirty–six producers will be present, more than eighty labels of Vernaccia di San Gimignano in the preview tasting at the tasting counters and in the room with sommelier service reserved for the press, to finally discover the products of the most recent harvest.
Sunday, 15th February
6:30 p.m.: Arrival at the hotel in San Gimignano – The name of the hotel will be communicated to each guest journalist directly by the Consortium of the San Gimignano Designation by 31/01/2015.
8:00 p.m.: Welcome Dinner – The name of the restaurant will be communicated by the Consortium of the San Gimignano Designation by 31/01/2015.
Monday, 16th February
9:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Vernaccia di San Gimignano Preview – De Grada Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Via Folgore 11, San Gimignano. Tasting of Vernaccia di San Gimignano 2014 and Vernaccia di San Gimignano Riserva 2013 (and previous years) at the tasting counters with 40 producers and in the press room with sommelier service.
10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.: Tasting in Italian language "Vernaccia di San Gimignano and Côte Chalonnaise Wines: Chronicles from the Magazzini del Sale (Salt Warehouses)" hosted by Armando Castagno, editor of the national magazine of the Italian Sommelier Association: Vitae, collaborator with the AIS wine guide of the same name and Chevalier du Tastevin. Dante Room at the Town Hall, Piazza del Duomo, San Gimignano. Max 54 seats.
12:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.: Buffet
