“UNMISTAKABLE” THE ITALIAN FESTIVAL THAT CELEBRATES WINES WITH THE BASE, SUR LIE, ON YEASTS

Market exhibition of wines and typical local products – Truck food – Guided seminars Preview on Friday 27 October with Denis Lovatel's Mountain Pizzas paired with Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG “Sui Lieviti”

“UnCONFONDibile” is the name of the event but it is also the adjective that best describes the character and personality of these wines, technically defined as Ancestral and refermented in the bottle , but commonly known, especially in our territory, as wines with fund or sur lie .

An event - unique in the national territory and which enjoys the patronage of the Treviso Chamber of Commerce - created to sip all of Italy "on the yeasts" and which will see over 70 participating companies , of which 50 in direct presence and around 20 in the wine shop set up for the occasion and managed by the sommeliers of Ais Veneto, partner of the event. Over 150 labels that can be tasted, including white, rosé and red wines, 150 different nuances and interpretations in which each producer can tell his story and that of his territory.

The appointment is for Sunday 29 October at the Fiere di Santa Lucia di Piave spinning mills starting at 10.30am and ending at 7.30pm.

“Succeeding in conveying a consistent and representative number of this type of wines to Treviso every year is an important and ambitious challenge but it is also the objective we set ourselves with this exhibition - states Roberto Dalla Riva, creator and organizer of the event - that to provide visitors with a timely and as complete as possible "snapshot" of the Italian production panorama of a wine that never ceases to amaze thanks to a range of varied and very different expressions".

The tasty novelty this year is given by the preview on Friday 27 October in which Denis Lovatel , a pizza chef from Belluno awarded with 3 segments by the Gambero Rosso guide , will propose four of his creations each accompanied by a Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG “Sui Lieviti ” produced and presented by a young winemaker of the Denomination. The evening, which will take place at Emozioni Enoteca Veneta in Conegliano, is organized in collaboration with the Consorzio di Tutela del Vino Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore and with Fipe Confcommercio of the Province of Treviso.

“Conegliano Valdobbiadene could only find a better location than this evening which will deepen the knowledge of a type of wine that looks to tradition. I'm talking about Prosecco Superiore Sui Lieviti, or refermentation in the bottle, the first version with bubbles born right among these hills" - underlines the Director of the Consortium, Diego Tomasi -.

“The native yeasts, which give its name to the type, are those that fall to the bottom of the bottle, where the refermentation takes place, according to the ancient method of sparkling wine making that is highly sought after by consumers today. This version of sparkling wine lends itself to greater versatility at the table and we will want to demonstrate this through four gourmet creations for an exclusive food and wine experience."

Creating virtuous relationships between the world of catering and wine production is one of the objectives of our organization. We were pleased to decide to collaborate in the creation of the preview evening, to help spread knowledge of this type of wine as an excellent accompaniment for the most varied culinary experiences, enhancing the pairing skills outside the traditional schemes. Three important aspects emerge from this initiative: the capacity for research towards frontiers of wine and food that were unexplored until recently, the clear tendency towards hybridisation between different sectors and products, the increasingly evident desire to recover traditions and resources of the territory, projecting them into a new dimension aimed at businesses but also at consumers. I consider this a true innovation ,” says Dania Sartorato, President of Fipe Confcommercio Province of Treviso.

The 4th edition of InCONFONDibile is also characterized by a program of extremely interesting masterclasses , conducted by journalists and tasters Gianpaolo Giacobbo and Massimo Zanichelli . There are 3 seminars proposed: we will delve into the world of wines from resistant vines (Piwi) , through the tasting of 6 labels in their bottle-conditioned version, and then travel back in time with a double vertical tasting between the " Removed” Lambrusco di Sorbara from Cantina della Volta (Modena) and the “Su Alto” Glera from L'Antica Quercia (Treviso) and conclude with an Italy-France wine derby (blind comparison) to discover the main differences distinguishing the pétillant naturels French from their Italian ancestors.

Also unmistakable is a market exhibition , an unmissable opportunity to purchase wines directly from those who produce them and a small salon of typical products: artisans of taste and small local productions from Treviso, selected by Campagna Amica di Coldiretti Treviso , which will be offered to the public for tasting and available for purchase on site.

Two food trucks will complete the gastronomic offer.
