UMBRIA TOP FLIES TO FRANCE FOR WINE PARIS & VINEXPO

It was 2020 when Umbria Top Wines , the Umbrian wine cooperative that brings together the majority of regional wine companies and protection consortia, participated in Wine Paris , in an international context together with 2,220 exhibitors from all over the world. 2024 marks the year of the return to the great French wine fair scheduled from 12 to 14 February , which, in the meantime, has strongly increased the foreign presence, with 72% of international exhibitors expected and 50 producing countries present.

If around 40,000 trade visitors and over 4,000 exhibitors are expected, Italy will occupy 40% more surface area than last year; the strengthening of the foreign presence is in line with the objectives of the event, namely the discovery and sharing of new wine trends through a selection by the most important international realities.

“Strengthening the image of the region in the foreign wine market: - states the president of Umbria Top Massimo Sepiacci - this is the aim of Umbria Top Wines' participation in Wine Paris, with the aim of promoting knowledge of native productions, quality and regional importance in a context, such as the French one, in which wine is recognized as a fundamental lever of the economy but at the same time in which the demand for novelty and quality is of interest".

The protagonists will be wineries from the Perugian hills, from the Montefalco area, from Todi and from Amelia/San Gemini: that is, Bussoletti Leonardo, Cantine Briziarelli, Cesarini Sartori, Chiorri, Goretti, Moretti Omero, Tudernum.

For the occasion, Umbria Top will inaugurate its communication activity like every year with a new claim, which will characterize 2024 for regional wine in all scheduled events, focusing on enhancing the emotionality and empathy that the "green heart of Italy” knows how to give thanks also to its oenological excellence: “Umbria_Where the heart beats ” is the message that will accompany all away events.

The participation of Umbria Top in Wine Paris inaugurates the 2024 calendar of promotional events, which will be part of the participation as leader of a CRS project (measure SRG 10), aimed at promoting quality regional food and wine products.

Umbria Top Wines

In 2009, for the first time, many of the region's best wineries came together to create Umbria Top, an organization dedicated to promoting the best wines of Umbria. The cooperative represents a diverse group of world-class winemakers, producing the highest quality wines in limited quantities. The winning producers of Umbria Top Wines received the highest votes from experts and prestigious organizations, including Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, Gambero Rosso "Tre Bicchieri", Decanter World Wine Awards, International Wine Challenge, Oscar del Vino, Cinque Grappoli of the Duemilavini guide and the San Francisco Wine Competition.

Umbria Top's mission is to promote a unitary and qualified image of quality and certified Umbrian wine, where possible combining it with other local agri-food excellences, through partnerships and strategic agreements with other entities.
