The ENOCLUB SIENA Association renews its appointment of early autumn with Sangiovese. We have arrived at the fourth event in Rome with the Sangiovese Purosangue (Thoroughbred Sangiovese) brand. This time we chose the Radisson Blu Hotel as the most appropriate location: adjacent to the Termini Station, ideal for the logistics, self–sufficient in spaces, high level and completeness in care facilities. To tell something about history, we recall briefly the dates and themes of the previous meetings: Rosso di Montalcino on 27–28 January 2012 at Villa Aldobrandeschi; Brunello di Montalcino at the Boscolo Hotel on 4–5 November 2012; Sangiovese Toscano at Exed Luxury Event on 26–27 January 2013. Events that have always attracted a large but well selected audience, with interesting people among operators, journalists, bloggers and fans. Also on this occasion we expect the presence of about 1,000 people over the two days.
Enoclub Siena is working on the development of the grape variety, through the knowledge of many Italian areas in which it is grown. Starting from the core of the Sangiovese Toscano (always with detailed areas, with further study), but investigating and comparing the other Italian regions: Romagna, Umbria, Marche, Lazio, with their respective sub–areas and crus. Through tasting counters and seminars we can evaluate the different territorial declinations (pure or with the help of other native grapes vinification). The Sangiovese Purosangue (Thoroughbred Sangiovese) brand, used on several occasions to give a sense of belonging and unity to the large group of Tuscan producers adhering to recent initiatives, becomes a unifying name in which to try to discover and enhance the quality of those Italian producers who have decided, for inspiration or tradition, to focus on Sangiovese.
