THE QUALITY UMBRIAN WINE DISTRICT FLIES TO VINITALY.USA IN CHICAGO FOR ITS FIRST INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION

Umbria's wine region crosses borders and brings its excellence overseas: the Umbrian Quality Wine District debuts at Vinitaly.USA in Chicago with its first international participation , taking part in one of the most important events for the sector, scheduled for 5 and 6 October at Navy Pier .

With an exhibition space of over 10,000 square meters overlooking Lake Michigan, Vinitaly.USA consolidates its position as a reference platform for the international promotion of Italian wine, offering companies the opportunity to access buyers, importers, distributors, and trade professionals from the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and other Latin American markets.

"It is strategically important to be present and work as a team in the US today, given the challenges of tariffs and the uncertainty in the sector, in order to support the work that various buyers are doing in one of the main reference markets," specifies Massimo Sepiacci , President of Umbria Top and the District. " This first participation of the District is a strong signal: Umbrian wine is presenting itself as a united front, with the aim of promoting its identity and quality on a strategic international stage like the United States, " emphasizes Gioia Bacoccoli , District coordinator.

The Umbrian Quality Wine District is a three-year project by Umbria Top, the cooperative of Umbrian wineries, dedicated to harmonizing and developing the regional wine supply chain through a public-private partnership. For this first public presentation, it will occupy a space of over 70 square meters, complemented by an institutional area managed by the Umbria Chamber of Commerce and the Umbria Region. The area will be characterized by the slogan " Discover Umbria in all Senses " and will offer a "taste" of regional excellence, from truffles to cheeses to chocolate, along with opportunities to promote wine tourism.

Alongside, the space dedicated to wine and animated by eight member companies of Umbria Top, testifying to the excellence and variety of the region's quality wines: Decugnano dei Barbi , Fattoria di Monticello , Guerrini , La Veneranda , Lungarotti , Tenuta Bellafonte , Terre Margaritelli and Tudernum .

Furthermore, thanks to the collaboration with the Umbria Chamber of Commerce , producers and representatives of the District will be able to participate in a 60-minute guided tasting masterclass (October 5th at 4:00 PM), led by an internationally renowned Master Sommelier . During the event, each winery will present an excellent wine for a select audience of at least 40 qualified industry professionals .

The Umbrian Quality Wine District also presents itself in Chicago with a new graphic design: a logo designed to encapsulate the values of quality, authenticity, and connection to the territory that distinguish Umbrian wine production.

With this first international experience, the District intends to strengthen its presence on foreign markets and consolidate the "Umbria" brand as a synonym for winemaking excellence, especially in the USA, a key market for the supply chain.
