THE BARBERA RED NIGHT RETURNS TO THE TURIN WINE FAIR

1 March 2024 - VIII Edition 14 piole meet 14 musicians and 14 Barbera producers An evening of notes, wine and cuisine kicks off the long weekend of the 2024 Turin Wine Fair

1 March 2024 the Notte Rossa Barbera returns, the widespread festival of good wine and cuisine at popular prices, to celebrate the "piola", a symbolic place of Savoy catering. Typical dishes, convivial atmospheres and live entertainment by emerging musicians for a journey through the history of Piedmontese gastronomic and social culture.

The eighth edition of the "Notte Rossa Barbera", organized by the FEA Association, is part of the large OFF program of the 2024 Turin Wine Fair this year and will involve 14 people in the city , connecting music and food and wine . An evening designed to enhance the excellence of the territory with the art of young talents: in the circuit of the 14 piole the Notte Rossa Barbera Menu will be proposed inspired by the ritual of the "Merenda Sinoira" and it will be possible to attend the performances of 14 emerging musicians , Piedmontese and non. A marathon of notes and flavors between the tables, in which music will be the protagonist together with the cuisine.

Barbagusto will host the singer-songwriter Filippo D'Erasmo , the artist Enrico Esma will perform at Il Camaleonte Piola , Salvario will play on the stage of the Circolo Arci Cricca , Alberodicarta will be at Ristorante Ratatui , the singer-songwriter Eugenio Rodondi will be at Enoteca Ostu , Bonsai will be at OFFTOPIC Bonsai and again, Annibale at the Bocciofila Vanchiglietta , from Qucina San Salvario the music of La Cricca dij mes-cià , in Via Baltea the live performance of Diletta Semboloni , Andrea Ciuchetti at the Bagni Pubblici in via Agliè , Il Conte Biagio at the Capodoglio Murazzi , the eclectic pianist Protto accompanied by a cellist at Comala and Dionysian at Kontiki within the Wellbeing Festival “Tu mi hai understood?”, while at the Circolo Risorgimento the artist Pedar .

And to color the event red will then be the wine from the local Barbera cellars - perhaps the most representative vine of the rural tradition - selected by the Turin Wine Show, which, paired one per row, will offer their best labels.

In fact, the collaboration with the Turin Wine Show continues, the great event dedicated to Piedmont and its wines, narrated through tradition, innovation, culture, music and literature, where the public will be able to meet historic wineries and young Piedmontese winemakers to taste their excellences. Now in its second edition, from 2 to 4 March 2024 at the OGR and the National Museum of the Risorgimento , it will involve around 500 wineries and will be preceded by a program of OFF events from 27 February to 1 March 2024.

The long weekend of exhibition of the Turin Wine Fair will be kicked off by the rhythms and toasts of the Notte Rossa della Barbera for an immersive experience, linked to the authenticity of the Piedmontese territory , a hymn to rusticity and memory, without falling into dusty nostalgia but reliving a piece of the city's history with elegance and modernity. An opportunity to discover the places, flavors and customs of Piedmont to an audience of all ages, starting with the youngest.

The Notte Rossa Barbera menu includes:

4 starters, a first course, water and coffee, and will cost €18.

The tradition of the Sinoira snack

The ancient peasant tradition of the "sinoira snack" was the basis of popular catering. An afternoon meal which, due to its abundance, tends to replace dinner, therefore "sinoira".
