Southern Italy wine and oil exhibition: Monday 12 June at the Castle of Sannicandro di Bari

The experience of seventeen editions, the attentive and updated focus on the new products and then, of course, the inimitable taste of the wines and oils of southern Italy: an appointment that Radici del Sud has been promoting every year since 2005, exploring with competence, passion and diligently the themes and news of the wine and oil scene of Puglia, Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Sardinia and Sicily.

A structured and composite event that awaits insiders and enthusiasts again this year in the Norman-Swabian Castle of Sannicandro di Bari from 8 to 12 June 2023: first two days dedicated to tours of the area, 10 and 11 June reserved for B2B meetings between buyers and international experts and producers and in the sessions of the wine competition which puts all the wines of Southern Italy in competition divided by grape variety. With strictly blind tastings and two different panels of experts to discuss the quality and characteristics of the labels being tasted.

The last day of the Show, on the other hand - Monday 12 June - includes a closing moment during which the wines selected by the four juries of the competition will be awarded and a meeting between experts on current issues concerning the world of wine. Still on June 12, but from 3 to 9 pm , space will instead be given to the opening of the Salone , in which it will be possible to appreciate the wines from southern native vines, the extra virgin olive oils and the delights of a food area full of typical products. Finally, from 9 pm, the grand finale with the opening of the tasting tables of the winning wines of the competition and the dishes proposed by the chefs and pizza makers who will participate in the event.

A true feast of taste: in fact , more than 130 companies have already decided to participate again this year in "Radici del Sud" which, thanks to the "Propapilla" association, led by Nicola Campanile, continues over the years to give visibility and authority for viticulture in Southern Italy thanks to the network of "friends" of the Salone, which has grown over eighteen years in step with the global attention towards southern Italian wines; this also thanks also and above all to the prestigious presences which - in terms of journalists, tasters, Masters of Wine, operators and buyers from all over the world - have increasingly characterized the editions of the Show, equally contributing to the overall enhancement of the territories of Southern Italy , guaranteeing opportunities to discover the beauties of the territories also thanks to the organization of convivial moments designed to strengthen the relationships between the protagonists and the users of the event.

Tasting kit including glass, glass holder bag and tasting book 20 euros; entrance to the Corte del Castello with about 80 wines for free tasting and tasting of dishes served buffet-style 20 euros; admission to the show and access to the final evening 35 euros.
