Rebel Queen - Vernaccia di San Gimignano Wine Fest - 3 and 4 June 2023

The Consortium of Vernaccia di San Gimignano wine organizes the Regina Ribelle – Vernaccia di San Gimignano Wine Fest on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 June.

This is the first edition of an event conceived and created in the area and entirely dedicated to the historic great white wine of Tuscany. A reference event in the area wanted by the Consortium and by the producers - the Paladins of the White Queen - to allow the public, wine lovers, enthusiasts and sector operators to taste Vernaccia di San Gimignano at the beginning of the summer season in places where which its centuries-old history began and continues. The program includes two days of itinerant tasting tours through the historic center of the city, a meeting with the producers of Vernaccia di San Gimignano, and guided wine tastings at the Rocca di Montestaffoli, headquarters of the Vernaccia di San Gimignano Wine Experience. The Festival will be opened on the afternoon of Saturday 3 by the conference " Amor che de la vite cola ", in which the themes of sustainability, health, territory and culture will be addressed. The evening will culminate in the Gala Dinner in the suggestive Cloister of Sant'Agostino, with a menu dedicated to Vernaccia di San Gimignano by the starred chef Vito Mollica , of Chic Nonna, Florence. Do not miss the appointment for the youngest with the evening aperitif and the DJ set at the Rocca di Montestaffoli and the entertainment in the squares and streets of the historic center. During the event, the city's restaurateurs will also offer the "Vernaccia di San Gimignano Menu" with a specially designed combination of food and wine, while the wine bars will remain open for purchases.
