Radici del Sud appointment in June 2021 with the Exhibition of wines and oils of Southern Italy

Radici del Sud confirms its 15th edition and is preparing to bring the best of Southern Italy wine and oil back to the Castello di Sannicandro di Bari (BA) . The event, scheduled from 9 to 14 June 2021 , has already confirmed the presence of over 120 companies, but it is possible to register until all seats are available on the website www.radicidelsud.it , where all the methods of participation are indicated. The June event will be anticipated in the spring by three days in which two juries of Italian and European journalists will test and award the wines presented by the companies for the 2020 edition, which was then skipped due to the health emergency. "The enthusiasm shown by the companies fills us with pride - comments Nicola Campanile , organizer of the event - There are still several months left until the 2021 edition and, despite the difficult year we have behind us, wineries and oil mills have already reserved almost all the seats available to participate in Radici del Sud. It is a really good sign to know how many companies strongly believe in our event and we hope that this will be an opportunity to relaunch the wines and oils of Southern Italy and their producers, after this hard period ". The fifteenth edition of Radici del Sud will also involve producers from Sardinia, Abruzzo and Molise for the first time, together with those already present in the previous editions of Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania and Sicily . The days of 12 and 13 June will be dedicated to the Competition : the wines of Southern Italy, divided by grape variety, will be judged by four different juries made up of journalists, influencers, international buyers , experts in the wine sector and professionals. At the same time, the BtoB meetings between producers and importers will take place in the other rooms of the Castle. In the previous days, on 10 and 11 June, the wine tours will be held to discover the territory, where producers will meet buyers and importers from European and non-European countries such as Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Great Britain, Holland, Germany, Russia, Poland, South Korea, Canada and the United States. The opening day to the public with the Wine and Oil Show is scheduled for Monday 14 June , when sector operators and enthusiasts will be able to participate in the tasting tables in the spaces of the Castle to meet the companies and taste the wines and the oils of the South. A pavilion of artisanal wines is also planned this year, which will be animated by tastings and round tables dedicated to the sector. The event, sponsored by the Regional Council and the Agriculture Department of the Puglia Region, by Unioncamere and by the Municipality of Sannicandro di Bari, will be held in full compliance with the anti Covid measures in force.
