"Radici del Sud" 2015

The great opportunity to interface with the world’s leading experts and the most established international buyers to which to entrust the fate of wines produced with rigor and immense talent has prompted more than 160 producing companies to adhere to the tried and tested event that for ten years has been giving impetus to the particular market of the native grape wine of southern Italy and helps to make it immediately recognizable far beyond national borders.

The complex but proven formula that combines many activities during the seven days when at the Rondò Hotel of Bari "Radici del Sud" will take place, allows the many guests working there to understand and fully appreciate the nature of the special native wines and to producers to promote them with great effect. The rich and varied program includes three days of BtoB meetings between producing wineries and buyers who will attend the event, already fully booked, and to which is therefore no longer possible to register, thematic studies by the leading wine experts in the world, of which, very interesting is the focus on the Asian market by Debra Meiburg, Master of Wine from Hong Kong, to Friday, June 12th, vintage tastings and comparisons on wines and press tour in production areas reserved for insiders and the press and two days dedicated to the tasting of over 400 wines competitors by two different juries composed of Italian and foreign experts called to express a not very easy evaluation of the wines grouped according to their original vine. The final day of "Radici del Sud" will be reserved for the "Salone del Vino Meridionale" ("Southern Wine Exhibition") to be held in the spacious halls of the Masseria Corte di Torrelonga (BA) and open to the public with time 10 a.m./8 p.m., where you can visit the tasting tables of about 130 Wineries exhibitors and the area dedicated to the flagship of the local cuisine where you can appreciate the most representative products of our South, in addition to the self service area operating during lunch time. Before the end of the fair, at 7:30 p.m., in the scheduled conference, the winners labels of the 2015 edition will be announced. After that, the evening will continue in the charming park of the Masseria farmhouse with the grand finale dedicated to all southern wines present at the tenth edition of "Radici del Sud" that can be tasted in accompaniment with some dishes prepared by skilled chefs from Puglia and other regions of the South.
