Mondo Merlot 2013

Competition, exhibition, and many tastings of quality



Mondo Merlot is the event with Merlot as protagonist, staged from Friday 25 to Sunday, 27 October 2013, organized as always by the Municipality of Aldeno (Trento).

The 2013 edition offers a full calendar of events of great attraction and interest that will see the participation of major industry operators, technicians, journalists and opinion makers.

The event will be preceded by the "Merlot d’Italia" National Competition, now in its 11th edition, to be held in Aldeno in the weeks before in order to enhance and promote the quality of Merlot Italian wine, its peculiarities and therefore encourage knowledge among a wider audience.

The exhibition of "Merlot d’Italia" will be attended by more than 130 labels from all over the Italian territory, including the best producers. It will be open to the public on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 in the afternoon and on Sunday 27 all day.

Numerous wine and food tasting will be offered.
Among these:

– One dedicated to the winners of the National Competition 2013, hosted at Palazzo Geremia in Trento scheduled for Friday 25 in the afternoon with the coordination of Adua Villa

– tasting of the historic Bordeaux Trentino Fojaneghe, which will be hosted at Palazzo Piomarta Rovereto, in front of the MART

– Tasting of prestigious international Merlot by AIS Trentino

– the vertical tasting of I’Rennero of the company Gualdo del Re, winner of the 2012 competition, conducted by Barbara Tamburini

– those proposed by Trentino Tourism and Promotion / Chamber of Commerce of Trento in the tasting room of Cantina Aldeno on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 in the afternoon.

World Merlot is organized by the Municipality of Aldeno, in collaboration with the Autonomous Province of Trento – Trade Service, Trentino Tourism and Promotion, the Industry, Handicraft and Agriculture Chamber of Commerce of Trento, the Company for Tourism of Trento, Monte Bondone, Valle dei Laghi, the Agricultural Institute of San Michele all’Adige (TN), the National Association of the "Cities of Wine" of Castelnuovo Berardenga (SI).
