Milano Food & Wine 2014

  • 07/02/2014

250 wines, including 24 chefs, confectioners and pizza makers, three days of tastings, showcooking and cooking lessons, full of taste and quality.

After the great success of the first two editions, from Saturday, February 8th, to Monday, February 10th 2014, the MILANO FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL, an event dedicated to the great protagonists of wine and cuisine, takes place.

There are 250 wines for free tasting, selected by Helmuth Köcher, President and Founder of the Merano Wine Festival, an event that for more than 20 years has been considered by professionals and enthusiasts a point of reference in the world of wine.

The public will therefore enjoy an exceptional overview of the best wine production, as well as having the privilege of meeting and getting to know the producers personally.

And since there is nothing more natural than to combine a good wine to a delicious dish, the culinary program of this year is richer than ever...

For three days, lunch and dinner, including 24 chefs, confectioners and pizza makers, invited by Paolo Marchi, creator of the international congress of author cuisine “Identità Golose”, will take turns presenting the “Great dishes of the Italian cuisine” that can be purchased and enjoyed comfortably at the restaurant of the Festival. Sunday, February 9th, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., special appointment with “Great cuisine, small dishes”, a round up of goodies offered at the same time by the chefs of 6 different restaurants. In addition, each day there will be an irresistible dessert cart suggested in the afternoon by the Cerea brothers and the outstanding salami by Massimo and Luciano Spigaroli of Antica Corte Pallavicina in the morning.

NEW for 2014: “Food Experience Mondadori”, an area equipped and dedicated to all those – adults or children – who want to engage in cooking classes, to attend cooking shows or follow guided tastings. Participation in the program is free and is included in the admission price to the Festival.
