Merano WineFestival 2013

What is the Merano WineFestival?

It is the joy and pleasure to travel in the world of wine with your glass, knowing also the producers of the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux, tasting historical vintages of Italian wines, discovering young wine–growing and wine&ndsah;making realities on the rise and not very well–known territories of the five continents, and savoring the aromas and flavors of the most unusual delicacies.

Created and curated by Helmuth Köcher, the Merano WineFestival is one of the most exclusive events in the world of wine: a celebration of the best national and international wine production in the majestic halls of the Kurhaus, an elegant historic building in the heart of the city.

It is the fruit of an intense work of 9 tasting committees that select the best wines from over 300 Italian wine companies and from over 120 international wine companies, along with the best productions of more than 100 master craftsmen.

The Merano WineFestival is also:

bio&dynamica, which celebrates the excellence of organic, biodynamic and natural wine;

Culinaria, which is the festival of Taste Artisans offering the best raw materials on their territory;

BeerPassion, dedicated to the particular tastes of craft beer;

GourmetArena, which offers an opportunity for discussion and exhibition of talent for great chefs, a “ring” reserved for haute cuisine.
