Gargagnago di Valpolicella (VR), 31 March 2023 – Among the protagonists of the 55th edition of Vinitaly (2-5 April), Masi Agricola confirms its presence among the excellences of the international wine scene . The Valpolicella winery, listed on the Euronext Growth Milan of Borsa Italiana since 2015, will welcome the public in its usual location – Hall 7, Stand C3 – with important news and a packed program of initiatives.
Masi, which has recently crossed the finish line of 250 harvests, arrives at the Verona show with an innovative and environmentally friendly project. Vinitaly will be the first showcase of the "Bottiglia Masi" project, the result of the collaboration between the Verona winery, Piero Lissoni , an architect and designer recognized as one of the masters of contemporary design, and Verallia , a company that is a global reference point in the design and supply of glass containers. The concept of the "Masi bottle" is based on sustainable production ethics with the aim of creating a light bottle and generating a "virtuous circle"; decreasing the amount of glass means reducing the raw material required for production and decreasing the amount of energy required in the processing, transport and handling phases. The "Masi bottle" weighs 33% less than the average of bottles of wines of similar positioning. The search for lightness has been accompanied by that of aesthetics and design, of the shape of the container that also shapes the content. All while pursuing maximum efficiency and quality, to obtain a thin and elegant bottle that is robust at the same time. The new container, in which the superfluous has been eliminated to reach the purest essence, was chosen to "give shape" to Fresco di Masi , the line of organic wines also produced "by subtraction", minimizing the intervention of man over nature, from grapes harvested in the coolest hours and vinified immediately, without drying, without passage in wood, only with the wild grape yeasts, decanted and unfiltered. The result is lightly processed and moderately alcoholic wines, characterized by an immediate taste of fresh fruit.
A few days after the start of the fair, Masi received a prestigious mention which confirms the company's commitment to sustainability: the jury of the 27th edition of the Vinitaly Design International Packaging Competition , the competition organized by Veronafiere-Vinitaly, awarded the "Label of the Year 2023" to Fresco di Masi Rosso Verona IGT 2022 .
Masi will collect the award at the ceremony to be held at the fair on Sunday 2 April at 3 pm in the Sala Puccini.
The fair will also be an opportunity to present a preview of the 2020 vintage of the Campofiorin icon-wine to international markets , updated in terms of packaging and contents . Small tweaks for a label that represents the brand's heritage and its worldwide recognition:
The "new Campofiorin" will also be presented at the fair through a communication campaign designed with the CLX Europe agency which will emphasize its lifestyle aspects and its positioning as an "Italian style icon" through quotations from the world of fashion and a Venetian setting, values and cultural territory of Masi. Campofiorin will be the protagonist of other important initiatives of the winery.
The unmissable appointment with the Masi Technical Group Seminar will be held on Monday 3 April at 15.00 (Sala Tulipano – Palaexpo Entrance A1, floor -1), an opportunity to explain "The Campofiorin phenomenon" from an unprecedented point of view: not only technical , but also through the tools that marketing and the sociology of consumption make available, with the tasting of five decades of this wine recognized as part of the Italian wine heritage. In the setting of the Serego Alighieri Possessioni in Valpolicella, the "Serate in Rosso" glamorous parties, by invitation, dedicated to Campofiorin will be held on Sunday 2 and Monday 3 April . The placée dinner in the Sala degli Archi will culminate with the opening of a 9-litre bottle of Campofiorin vintage 1990. Guests will be entertained by Saule Kilaite, famous solo violinist and performance artist.

Masi wines will also be among the protagonists of "Vinitaly in the City" , the Fuorisalone dedicated to the public of wine enthusiasts which from March 31st to April 2nd will enliven the historic center of Verona, with a series of meetings, including aperitifs and dinners, in some among the most famous places in the city.
On Saturday 1st April at 3.00 pm in the Cortile Mercato Vecchio the Veronese winery will participate in the "Wine Talks" with a tasting of its iconic wines led by Giacomo Boscaini, Masi Brand Ambassador . In addition to the appointments in the city, Masi also plans a series of events on Lake Garda , between Lazise and Bardolino, which will also include Tenuta Canova, the flagship of the Masi Wine Experience .
